With over 30 years’ experience in payer/employer solutions, I now advise health care organizations, entrepreneurs, and others in the health care and employee benefits arenas. I was most recently senior vice president of global benefits for Walmart Stores, Inc. Prior to that, I was senior vice president or corporate benefits for Wells Fargo & Co. I currently serve on the boards of directors of Truveris, Inc. and the Leapfrog Group. I am a board advisor for the Penn Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics.
Why Vivante: I like what they’re doing using food as medicine and incorporating behavioral economic theory in a smart way—and that they’re focused on something other solutions aren’t even considering.
Fun fact: My name is on the moon. I lived near NASA as a kid and went to school with many astronauts’ kids. On one mission, an astronauts took a capsule holding a document signed by members of my church to the moon and left it there.
